Homeless Animals: Assumptions And Apathy
“lack of homes” is one of the reasons Ingrid cites as a reason to kill, which is a claim Nathan Winograd thoroughly debunks in his book, Redemption. There are enough homes for all the homeless cats and dogs; caring humans just need to work harder or more efficiently at finding and keeping those homes.

Potholes, PETA, and KFC
Interesting and well-written piece from the New York Times’ news blog. KFC has launched a campaign to fill potholes — and put their logo on the repair. Predictably, PETA is now offering to do the same, this time of course with an anti-KFC logo.

An American company is recalling a million pounds of pistachios for salmonella. This story sounds so familiar. Wonder if there’s a company called Pistachio Corporation of America?
